The character that caught my attention
The character that caught my attention the most was Iago. He caught my attention because he is very smart but very sleazy, he uses other people to do the dirty work for him. He is the evil mastermind that caused everything in the tragedy to go ballistic. He made Othello believe that Desdemona is cheating on him, he made Cassio get drunk and fired, and then made him believe that he could talk to Desdemona to get his job back, only furthering Othello's doubt of her loyalty. Iago, although evil, is a very interesting character.
Iago's web of evil, who do I feel sorry for?
Iago manipulates many people, he makes them do his dirty work for him. I feel sorry for some of them, but for others I don't so much. I feel sorry for Cassio, because he hasn't done anything wrong, Iago made him get drunk and made him lose his job. And Iago was the one that tricked him into talking to Desdemona to get it back. The person that I do not feel bad for is Othello himself. Even though Iago tricked him into thinking that Desdemona was cheating on him, he should have never doubted his wife's loyalty, she never gave him any reason to think so.

The Agony
Iago has many people trapped in his web of evil - Roderigo, Cassio, Othello, Desdemona, and Emilia. I feel bad for all of these people. Roderigo is giving away all of his money to Iago thinking that Iago is helping him, when in reality, he is not. Because of Desdemona's fruitful personality, Iago is going to make Othello lose trust in her and question his marriage with her. Emilia has to live with Iago. She is Iago's wife! I feel sorry for her just having to sleep with that man because he has no respect for her and believes she is only useful for tupping and household chores. Othello has been discriminated throughout his life because of his color. He has been through so much and because he is so naive and trustful, he might lose his beloved wife and a good friend. I feel most sorry for Cassio however. Due to his reputation as a charming and good looking man, Iago will use this to make Othello believe that Cassio is making the beasts with two backs with Othello's wife, Desdemona. Cassio already lost his high position in the army. What more does Iago want to do to the poor guy?! The person I feel least sorry for is Roderigo because he is too blind to realize how evil Iago is. In the meantime, he is helping Iago out with his evil plot to sabotage Othello. Desdemona, and Cassio.
Character i am sorry for
i feel most sorry for Cassio right now because Iago has portrayed his as a dunk and got him fired. Iago has a bigger plan to get revenge on Othello but so far Iago's plan has caused Cassio the most harm and that is why i feel most sorry for him.

character I feel most sorry for
The character I feel most sorry for in Othello is Othello himself. Throughout the play, he has been belittled with racial prejudice and underestimated because of his age and color. Although people do honor him, he is also the victim of a cruel plot by Iago to steal his wife, desdemona.

Iago has trapped many
people in his net of evil and truthfully, I feel equally sorry for all of them.
For example, poor Roderigo he is so blinded in love that he does not realize what
Iago is doing to him. Roderigo is so naive about everything and as we read in
class, all I can say is ''Poor
Roderigo''. Cassio is too busy flirting to realize what is going on just like Desdemona. But let's not forget about the poor Othello! The unfortunate guy is called
rude names and has been through so much in his life that the last thing he
needs is someone to make his life miserable. Now Emilia, I will feel sorry for
her just because she is married with Iago. Like come on! not only does she have
to deal with him, but she also has to live with him. All of these people are trapped
and I feel equally sorry for all of them since they don’t even realize the
situation they are trapped in.
